About MAPS
The mission of MAPS (Military Academy Pregnancy Support) is to support cadets and midshipmen who find themselves on the journey to parenthood through planning and financial assistance. Founded by USAFA graduates, we feel strongly that no one should have to decide between their children and service. We are here for you and are honored to be a part of your story.
MAPS is a non-profit that falls under the 2010 Foundation, a 501(c)(3) designed to support cadets.

- Housing and related expenses
- Counseling services
- Birthing classes and doula support
- Travel funding to visit a child geographically separated
- Assistance with service academy logistic coordination
- Mentors to come alongside you in your journey to parenthood

MAPS Story:
In 2009, our MAPS co-founder discovered she was pregnant while a cadet at the Air Force Academy. Though today she and her now-husband are successful officers and joyful parents of a son and his siblings, the challenges in her journey propelled her to action. Over a decade later, our team successfully advocated for the policy change that allows pregnant cadets and midshipmen to retain parental rights and implement a family care plan while continuing the path to commission. Despite this policy change, cadets and midshipmen need the financial, planning, and personal support to make this dream a reality, which is why we founded MAPS. We're here for you - you can do it, and you're not alone!
